The ads about data entry and paid surveys especially are full of promises of how rich you can get but you'll find the real story quite different. The idea of taking a few surveys in the morning, having a long lunch, and then doing a couple more to end the day several hundred dollars better off, is a joke; nor will data entry improve your bank account either.
All of these different types of activities are basically not sustainable for anyone that is seeking out a way to earn some extra money from working at home on a dependable and regular basis. While all jobs in this field are not scams, there are some that are some that are so it just means that you need to be more wary. One good way is by writing articles for a third party. One does need to have some writing skills and one is better off if one is more capable. Most writers begin by writing for others who sell the work as their own. The average pay therefore is about for every 500 words you write, however this can only help you to sustain yourself but will certainly not make you rich.
The best thing would be to write for oneself and selling them as PLR or public label rights articles. This can be lucrative over time. The idea is to write a batch of ten or so articles on a particular theme and sell them to a limited number of people at a reduced price. So if you priced them at a dollar apiece, you could sell that batch of ten articles to thirty people and make 0 which is a great deal more than the you would otherwise have made for it.
You can earn well working from home but you have to put in a lot of hard work to ensure a regular income. It takes a while to settle into the routine of working from home but once you get into a certain discipline, it becomes much easier. At some point and time, it may even be possible to put together a group of writers that you are able to outsource all of your work to, and this is when you are going to start earning some really good money.
