Sarbanes Oxley for Dummies: An Extremely Helpful Resource
January 29th, 2009 | by admin |I was in college when the fallout from the accounting scandals involving some large American corporations began to settle. As an accounting student, our professors used the Enron and Tyco debacles as a learning opportunity; as they should have. The lessons to be learned by such an egregious lack of integrity and business ethics were many; and they started with the passing of the Sarbanes Oxley Act in July, 2002. Not long after it’s signing into law, the basics of the legislation were being taught. In order to get up to speed quick, I bought the first edition of sarbanes oxley for dummies. It proved to be an invaluable resource. In fact, I still have my copy.
