This scam that originated around twenty to twenty five years ago has deep impacts on the state of Nigeria. Almost the immediate result of these scams was the downfall f the Nigerian economy. The entire process was initiated by Nigerian students who wanted to cheat foreign investors attracted by the oil sectors in the region. This shameful scam was performed through spam letters and had far reaching effects in Europe and Africa as well.
