The designation “paralegal” is simply another name for the more commonly known legal assistant. The career options include assisting in private law firms, non-profit organizations, corporate legal cells, and government offices. You could even work in the US Department of Justice, the local DA’s (District Attorney’s) office, or as a paralegal instructor in the law school of a university. The police can also provide employment in their office as a paralegal assistant.
