How the OPDD Manual Paved the Way for Hedge Fund Operational Due Diligence
May 25th, 2009 | by admin |With the apparent and obvious neglect of hedge fund operational due diligence, a manual has been written outlining the complete depth of operational due diligence (OPDD). Of course, each investment is individual and should be treated as such, but due diligence should be practiced in much the same way, regardless of how big or how small the investment may be. In order to make sure that all the I’s are dotted and the T’s are crossed, there is a mode of operation in due diligence that should be followed to insure that everything is being done by the book without skimping on any corners. The world of trade is a gigantic secret and due diligence does not mean that the secret of a good trade must be found out, rather, the reason for due diligence is to make sure that all of the rules are being followed in the order they are supposed to and it is being done in a legal and trustworthy way.
