That pesky nail bed infection

December 4th, 2007 | by admin |

What is an infection of nail bed? Is it a bacterial or is it a fungal infection? Well it can be both. The medical term for a nail bed infection is Paronychia. It is in the area of the nail where the nail meets the skin. Like i stated ealier it can be both a bacterial or a fungal infection. If it is a bacterial infection antibiotics will clear it up pretty quickly. Bit if is more of a fungal infection the treatmnet will be longer using an anti- fungal oral tablit or some sort of anti-fungal cream topicly.
