I recently read about a type of roof on which plants, flowers, trees, and even vegetables can grow. I had never heard of intensive roofing systems before. I was avtually surprised to hear that roofs could be constructed in this manner. I don't think I would ever install a roof like this, because I do not have a green thumb and roofs like this require a lot of maintenance. I did, however, find the idea very interesting.
